Project Village
as part of Hello Wood Project Village 2015

Creating a functional settlement where preconceived programs (community space, dwellings, market, school, barn etc.) are re-envisioned, we explore the idea of what defines a village and how constraints such as time, material, and neighbours can be negotiated.

This project, led by Mjölk Architekti, looks at the infrastructure of a village, something which is often unnoticed. Our goal was to bring fun to such functional structures. The first tower, equiped with sprinkling water and a raised tub, is responsible for the water supplies. The second is for communication, where bright loudspeakers ensure that information spreads far.
